As you know, music these days is full of autotune and dance techno or computer music and a lot of musician or band that have an ACTUAL talent but they are never popular. Sooo, today i want to make a list of musician/band that actually really good but not a lot of people know about it.
1. Artist Vs Poet
Artist Vs Poet is a power pop/pop punk band from Forth Worth, Texas formed in late 2007. The band members is Joe Kirkland, Jason Dean & Dylan Stevens. In 2007-20011 the band actually consists of 5 members, Tarcy Thomason, Joe Westbrook, Craig Calloway, Joe Kirkland & Jason Dean. In 2008 they were signed by Fearless Records.
But 3 of them are leaving the band so there's only Joe Kirkland & Jason Dean, and a new rhythm guitarist was added named Dylan Stevens. He met with the band through a friend of theirs.
After many changes in the band, it was announced by Fearless Records that Artist Vs Poet were no longer signed to the label. When i heard the news, i'm a little dissapointed because the band actually made a pretty good music even though they only have 3 members. On 2013, They released a full-band album entitled Keep Your Secrets. The songs in the album is really good. My favorite is Keep Your Secrets and Miscommunicate. 2. Gabrielle Aplin
Gabrielle Aplin is an English singer-songwriter from Sutton Benger, Wiltshire. I know her from the TV. I'm watching [V] channel at my home and i saw her video clip Please Don't Say You Love Me.
And after i watch her video i started to look on the internet all of her music. If you a type of person that like Folk, Pop or Indie, you can listen to her, because her music is that kind of genre. I love her new album English Rain especially The Power Of Love.
A lot of British people probably know her because she is British, but i think she didn't became worldwide sensation like Justin Bieber (HAHA) or Taylor Swift which is sad because she have a very beautiful voice and she is really pretty.
3. 78Violet (also known as Aly & AJ)
78violet is an American pop rock band consisting of sisters Aly and AJ Michalka. Of course you know them, they became really huge on 2004-2008 i guess. The first time i know about them because of their single Potential Breakup Song and i kinda started to look up to their music.
I think Aly & AJ should be famous right now. I love all of their songs and have listened to it since 2005 but how come they are so not popular around the world ? I've been looking for their album in all music stores in my country Indonesia but all music stores in my country don't sell their album because their not familiar with them. I just watched their new single Hothouse, it's so haunting and beautiful at the same time! You guys should check it out! :)
